Sports photographer John Gress has more than a decade of experience
working for national and international news organizations. His assignments
have ranged from the Indy 500, the PGA Championship, the Super Bowl,
and the World Series. He regularly covers several Chicago sports teams,
including the Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, and the White Sox.
In 2007, he finished in the top five in the National Press Photographers
Associations Best of Photojournalism Sports
Photojournalist of the Year competition. Also that year, his photo
essay about Gay Games VII earned him second place in the annual National
Lesbian and Gay Journalist Associations Excellence
in Photojournalism awards.
